Home in Hale

This home is an 18th-century arts and crafts property in the South Hale Conservation Area.

This beautiful property had been previously extended in 2014 which the client was looking to replace with a more contemporary proposal, that would serve their home well into the future.

Our proposal introduced two offset flat roofs, separated by a brick wall tying the materiality back to the existing. Large format, floor to ceiling glazing allows 180-degree views over the newly landscaped garden.

A recipe corner was introduced within the new extension, utilizing the openable glazing onto a raised herb bed. Allowing the fragrant plants to inspire future meals.
